The Greens mantra is that Government spending should fund the services we all need to live a good life, not prop up industries which support the fortunate few over the rest of us. They believe the Liberal and Labor party reward industries which are causing social and environmental damage.
Therefore, to combat the above, the Greens plan to scrap the tax free fuel rebate and remove the public subsidies provided to private health companies.
The aim of the above is to assist in:
- making renewable energy cheaper and dirty energy more expensive,
- redirect funding going to private health companies into the public health system
- stop weapons exports ending up in the hands of human rights abusers.
